Just Moved Again!
This web site, 1867confederation.com (now .net) was originally online over two years ago. This year, since April 1st, 2014, it has been taken down forcibly no fewer than seven (7) times by paid and free web hosts, and by a domain registrar (allcheapweb) who whited out the domain to hide the web site, and refused to clear it up.
I am therefore in the process of transferring this web site into Blogger. That has required that I alter the menu and the sidebars, and I have to find a lot of CODE to restore them, as there are no instant plugins to do this, as there are in WordPress.
Therefore, the menus and sidebars are not yet completed. Images also have to be reinstalled in most of the posts, but the text is available, and you can still enjoy the articles.
Meanwhile, please re-bookmark this web site at the new domain: http://www.1867confederation.net

The School of the Strange

Edit Post
Foreword [Ed. FC1867]: The French original of this article was first published by the FQS under the title "FQS -- L'école de l'étrange".
"The School of the Strange" will give you an idea of what is happening in Quebec education. All appears to be contrary to the family values and Catholic traditions of this Province.
However, Confederation was done in 1867 to establish and preserve for all time the right to self-government of French Canadians in Quebec, and Founding Peoples in the other Provinces; the permanent right of each to maintain our own local culture.
Let "The School of the Strange" give fair warning to parents in other Provinces to immediately investigate what is going on in your own educational system in the name of "Liberalism" and globalism. Both are contrary to the constitutional purpose of our Legislatures, which are LEGAL JURISDICTIONS for our benefit and thus for the preservation of our local cultures and peoples, and not for international multiculturalism.
As I have explained elsewhere, multiculturalism has no foundation in the lawful Constitution of Canada. It is illegal and cannot be imposed. The mass immigration flooding into Canada to carry out this unlawful policy of "multiculturalism" is also illegal. It is tantamount to an unlawful Constitutional amendment by means outside the Constitution. It is displacing the Founding Peoples, it is changing the population, and using our unique Provincial Legislatures to cater to them, thus handing our rights to foreigners for their benefit, while stripping us. [Ed. FC1867]
In theory, public education must see to the continuity of the moral, cultural and traditional values taught at home. Parents send their children to school in all confidence, believing that the trained teacher will take in hand the education of his offspring on matters which exceed parental competence.
Today, the notion that parents are the first persons responsible for the education of their children has been abandoned not only by the State, but also by a majority of parents. The latter have blind confidence in the system of education and many parents have but very little interest in the new "philosophical" subjects presented to young pupils.
The Ethics and Religious Culture program, the promotion of sexuality and homosexuality via dubious activities, as well as esoteric projects such as group massage workshops, are indeed in our elementary and secondary schools. It would seem that the Québécois people [French Canadians] have deemed these new practices more constructive than Catholic teachings.
In truth, the Québécois have made no such choice. Those who oppose these new theories have all been practically muzzled.

I don't know yet.
That is the kind of questionnaire with which Québécois youth are confronted in the ERC workbooks.
A Léger Marketing survey published in the Spring of 2009 demonstrates that 76% of Québécois thought that the ERC course was optional. The Quebec Court of Appeal however recently decided that Loyola College of Montreal, a private Catholic college, was obliged to teach the ERC in the manner dictated by the Department of Education.
The Jewish private schools of Quebec and the indigenous school commission, Kativik, in Nunavik, are at present the only ones in Quebec to be exempted from the Ethics and Religious Culture program.
If, as we are told, one of the goals of this program is to open the population up to diversity, is it the rule that the ERC not be integrated into the education of certain minorities who seem to have the right to live in isolation?*
Where parents and the values they wish to transmit to their children are concerned. that is when these filter into the classrooms.
The Groups of Research and Social Intervention (GRSI) are regional nonprofit companies that the school commissions invite into primary and secondary classrooms to promote homosexuality.
Speakers narrate the difficulties which they have experienced and explain certain details of their sexual practices. A range of provincial activities aimed at countering homophobia is also organized each year in the schools of the province. The elementary school, Ateliers d'Ahuntsic, recently won the S2000 prize for having adopted a Cameronian adult, imprisoned because he is homosexual.
Is that the mandate parents give to primary school teachers?
That is the actual comment of a child who took part in group massage sessions in elementary school, as transcribed on a Web site promoting massage in class.
The Quebec Association of massage instructors in the school environment (AQIMMS) claims to bring innovation to social relations of young people in school. These workshops are increasingly popular among Quebec school commissions. These activities are for all intents imposed upon the children in the establishments where they are practiced; exempted children often finding themselves in the corridor waiting for the activity to end.
Whal perception of the importance of physical relations does this type of activity give to children in classrooms where they are experimented on?
Does the trivialization of physical intimacy and physical contact form part of the teachers' mandate?
Any opposition to these programs is automatically rebuffed. Parents, indignant when they discover what is happening in the classroom without their knowledge, are treated as narrow-minded, old-fashioned, or retarded. Nonetheless, could it be that they are right?
From the school which promotes Québécois (French-Canadian) family values, we have moved on to the school which works the destruction of these values in our children. They will no longer hear about the benefits of family life and the importance of their parents. We have let the State manage the education of our children as it wishes. The schools have become the laboratories of modern theorists.
Parents are rarely informed of such activities. This is the principal cause of the proliferation of these programs in our schools. Pay attention to what your children say. Participate in parents' meetings. Show them that tradition is not dead!

Petition: Prohibition of experimental techniques and experimental teaching methods in Quebec primary public schools
* [Translator's note:] There is a UN Treaty on the rights of aboriginals to their identity, territory and culture; I'm guessing this might have something to do with the Kativik exemption. How the Jews got an exemption from this "multicultural" program that ought to be right up their alley (of course, for the rest of us), is another question. An inquiry would have to be made with the Quebec Department of Education. [Ed. FC1867]

The School of the Strange
Introduction
[Exclusive: The FQS in English (series article)]In theory, public education must see to the continuity of the moral, cultural and traditional values taught at home.
Ethics and Religious Culture (ERC)

Promotion of Homosexuality
Homosexuals have the right, in a democracy, to valorize their lifestyle and to affirm their difference.Where parents and the values they wish to transmit to their children are concerned. that is when these filter into the classrooms.
Massage at school
"I didn't think it could feel so good being touched like that!"That is the actual comment of a child who took part in group massage sessions in elementary school, as transcribed on a Web site promoting massage in class.
Conclusion
The people who propose these programs to those in charge of education and of parents' committees are unquestionably salesmen, comparable to those one meets in an automobile dealership. They present their product in an excessively positive light, in almost scientific language — which visibly impresses more than one.Any opposition to these programs is automatically rebuffed.
